Container lashing and lashing certificate
Cargo protection and integrity
The transport of oversized cargo such as industrial machinery, vehicles, boats or crates, requires special measures to ensure protection and integrity of cargo as well as the safety of personnel in charge of cargo handling operations.
Lashing is the complex operation of securing and fastening cargo with belts or chains and tension levers/turnbuckles to bind it to the support on which it is placed (flat rack containers).
Company equipment available at the terminal
Vecon performs container stuffing, lashing and de-lashing operations for all the companies that call at Venice, relies on highly specialized personnel who have been operating in the region for years, makes equipment available inside the terminal and liaises directly with companies: the overall aim is to achieve greater time flexibility for the gate-in process.
Lashing certificate
Vecon’s range of services includes the issue of LASHING CERTIFICATES: this describes in detail the type of lashing performed and encloses certificates for the lashing material used, in compliance with the technical standards required by the companies and by applicable regulations.
