Certified VGM for oversized cargo

Vecon’s certified VGM service is offered both for inbound containers and for containers stuffed at the terminal, including oversized ones. The terminal features lifting equipment with weighing system for the issue of VGM document and an in-ground weighbridge for certified weighing of oversized cargo with maximum dimensions 4×4 m. As of 1 July 2016, VGM weighing is necessary for the SOLAS amendment (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) which makes VGM weighing mandatory for the acceptance of containers on board. The purpose is to enable correct stowage on board ships and improve stability during navigation.
